Civils Examination Framework
Geckotech Solutions Ltd first began providing rope access support and access consultation services to this contract in 2008. The ongoing examinations of the many structures associated with the Network Rail Infrastructure is, a challenge often with tight time scales and working in remote locations.
Some of the structures we continue to work on include the Forth Rail Bridge and the Tay Rail Bridge where we have installed over 12000 SQM of work positioning netting providing examiners unhindered access to the under deck elements of the structure.
Other structures include viaducts, tunnels, shafts and culverts where there is often a requirement for the use of industrial rope access techniques with confined space entry and rescue procedures. In July and August of this year a six man team from Geckotech carried out the inspection of the Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central Stations.
Going forward Geckotech now provide bridge examination services directly to the client.
