In the summer of 2018, our technicians were deployed on the Rampion offshore wind farm to undertake various works, including the installation of cladding, the running of ancillary wiring, the installation of ladder grips and removal of other access forms.
Industrial Rope Access was used as the primary means of access on the structure and as the primary safe system of work throughout the work scope. Our technicians were employed to gain access to difficult to reach areas in conjunction with the other specialist workforces on site.
Rampion is the first offshore wind farm off the south coast of England. It is located in the English Channel between 13 and 20kms from the Sussex coast, stretching from East Worthing in the west to Brighton in the east.
