Visit of Minister for Europe, Migration and International Development Friday 8th March 2019

We were delighted to welcome Ben MacPherson MSP, Minister for Europe, Migration and International Development to our premises on Friday 8th March.

This visit was one of many throughout Scotland by Secretaries and Ministers from across government to mark Scottish Apprenticeship Week; an annual campaign which highlights the commitment of businesses who have decided to invest in the skills of their workforce.

Several senior members of team Gecko are in the process of completing their SVQ 5 in Construction Senior Management and one of our junior members has just completed her SVQ3 Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Admin.

Our people are our greatest asset.  The opportunities afforded us through Skills Development Scotland have been invaluable in staff development at all levels.

A Powerful Partnership!

A Powerful Partnership!

Each year, the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards recognise, reward and celebrate the impacts achieved through commercial and academic partnerships and aims to show how innovative businesses, universities, research institutes and individuals are leading the way towards economic growth and societal improvements.

Geckotech Solutions Ltd and their partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University was shortlisted this year as a finalist for the Powerful Partnership Award which recognises an academic – business collaboration that has demonstrated long term strategic partnering and the benefits to both the business and the academic teams achieved through knowledge exchange. The Powerful Partnership Award is described as recognising “the cream of collaborations between academia and businesses,” and we were honoured to have made the shortlist.
